Social Engagement
Social Engagement
Adhering to the principle of “contributing to society,” Shieh Yih pursues corporate growth and technological innovation while implementing continuous social responsibility programs that encourage employees to demonstrate empathy and care for society. In 2025, our social contribution efforts focused on the themes of “local actions, employee participation, and healthy living.” In partnership with local NGOs in Taoyuan, we continued to promote public welfare activities, encouraging employee involvement and fostering physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.
▌ 2025 Taoyuan City Government – “Hold Hands for Theater” Art and Cultural Promotion
In response to the “Hold Hands for Theater” art and cultural promotion promoted by the Taoyuan City Government, we assisted nearly 8,000 students from elementary schools in remote townships to enter theaters for watching performance and allow art education to take root at a young age, together with the tour guide education activity at the theater.
▌Technology for Inclusion × Forest Conservation Creating an Immersive Environmental Education Experience
As climate change continues to threaten global ecosystems, SEYI remains committed to advancing ESG initiatives and strengthening biodiversity conservation efforts. In 2025, we once again supported the Luzhu “Yangchoukeng Forest Trail Beetle Season” event. By collaborating with local technology partners and Nankan High School, we introduced virtual reality (VR) technology to integrate beetle ecology education with trail interpretation, creating an immersive learning environment that blends physical and digital experiences. This approach enriches environmental education and expands pathways for public engagement. In addition to continually sponsoring the “Beetle VR Ecological Interpretation System,” which helps the public gain a deeper understanding of Taiwan’s native insects and their habitats, SEYI colleagues also returned to the forest as environmental volunteers. They participated in trail inspections and habitat cleanups, demonstrating our commitment to protecting Taiwan’s natural ecology through hands-on action.
▌2025 “SEYI Cup” Servo Stamping Process Design and CAE Simulation Competition
To bridge the gap between academic learning and practical industry skills, the company has hosted the “SEYI Cup” competition for five consecutive years. In 2025, the event incorporates artificial intelligence with servo stamping technology under the theme “AI in Servo Stamping.” The goal is to cultivate a new generation of talent equipped with smart manufacturing capabilities and to enhance the competitiveness of Taiwan’s metal processing industry. This year’s competition not only highlights the innovative potential demonstrated by students and engineering teams in the fields of AI and servo stamping, but also strengthens collaboration across industry, government, academia, and research institutions - injecting new perspectives and momentum into Taiwan’s metal forming sector.
▌Supporting Child and Youth Health Empowering a Stronger Future
The company participated in World Vision Taiwan’s “Healthy Kids Partnership Program,” sponsoring ten elementary and junior high school students. Through hands-on support, we aim to promote children’s health and deliver care and hope to underserved youth. Throughout the year, the program offered diverse physical activities - including inflatable bouncer play, hiking at Hutoushan, paintball experiences, and rock climbing courses - to help children build confidence and develop healthy habits. In total, we contributed 18 volunteer hours with 45 participant engagements, demonstrating the company’s continued commitment to supporting disadvantaged children and fulfilling our social responsibility through meaningful action.
▌Supporting Vocational Education Enhancing Youth Skills and Competitiveness
The company maintains a long-term industry–academia partnership with Luodong Industrial High School, demonstrating our commitment to supporting vocational education and developing young technical talent. In 2025, we sponsored students from the school’s Department of Mechanical Engineering as they participated in the National Skills Competition, providing essential resources that enabled them to showcase their professional abilities and achieve outstanding results. Through continued investment in industry–academia collaboration and by offering internship opportunities, we help vocational schools cultivate high‑skill talent, reduce the gap between learning and practical application, and strengthen the talent pipeline needed for the sustainable development of the industry.
